Chase Fraud # 2: 1-800-278-8830
(If you have a fraud alert on your account, recon will instantly transfer you here for verification, so you might as well call directly)

To fax in verification documents:
#1: 888-643-9624
#2: 888-643-9628
#3: 201-328-3289 (according to a rep from this dept, it's quicker than the other listed numbers)

Chase CS #: 1-800-432-3117

To know whether your application is pending or declined:
Call CS 1-888-338-2586 or 1-800-432-3117 and press # or 1. (If it's asking for your full 16 digits account number, it's 1. If it's asking for only your last 4 digits, it's #)
Press 3, then 1, then key in your SSN.
If you hear:
This application is being reviewed. You will be notified in writing of our decision, in approximately 2 weeks
It's pending.
If you hear:
This application is being reviewed. You will be notified in writing, within 7 to 10 business days, of our decision
It's been declined.

Business cards application status: call 800-453-9719.

7-10 day message on the business application line does not mean a denial.

No matter what the status of your app is or what the page said after you hit submit or what Chase emailed you, etc... CALL TODAY! Any "pending" issues can either be addressed once you get your letter in the mail in 2 weeks, or you can JUST CALL TODAY!
And if at first you don't succeed HUCA, HUCA, HUCA etc. If they tell you there's a max of 2 cards per 30 days, HUCA!
PS: If the reason you were declined on a 5/24 card is 5/24, and you are indeed 5/24, YOU WILL NOT GET APPROVED.

I cam confirm no pull on my previous app, I applied again today and was approved after recon but the app is pending for fraud and fraud reps are not helpful (back team not customer facing etc...)

Please update if you have success with fraud depatment etc.

"No matter what the status of your app is or what the page said after you hit submit or what Chase emailed you, etc... CALL TODAY! Any "pending" issues can either be addressed once you get your letter in the mail in 2 weeks, or you can JUST CALL TODAY! "

thats from the wiki. The reddit wiki says

"When do I call reconsideration?

Don't! Wait for a denial to call. If you've followed everything above, you have a good shot at automatic approval, or approval without reconsideration within a week. Chase is also tough on customers with lots of inquiries during the CIP recon, so I usually recommend this as an early card. Other cards seem less strict. Use this chart to determine your next steps. If you do have to call recon, call the Chase Business line: 800-453-9719, open 1pm-10pm Monday to Friday"

Any thoughts on which approach to use?

I see he seems to strech the point that you have to use your own name when applying for a sole proprietorship as many people make that silly mistake.

He also points out the rule 1/30 which dan never spoke/wrote about, and the point your bringing up now.

I didnt want to wait a week for the card, so I ended up just calling and got approved in under a couple of minutes. But I guess if you are willing to wait, it prob makes sense to

I'd never call recon when pending, unless
A. I have a reason to ie 2bm or
B. I'm super impatient.
I wouldn't never recommend calling recon when the AS says 30 days, its practically an invite to decline you.

Getting grilled about why I am an AU on so many cards. I thought Recon is supposed to be a breeze for consumer cards.

Lol, no. Literally submitted the application an hour ago. Just really didn't like the attitude of the recon rep. Probably should've just huca'd without answering her questions.

Why? I just got the 30 day for Ink, am I better off not calling?

Because they haven't said no yet. And haven't even indicated either way.

So just wait or call in a few days automated to see what they say?

IME with Ink, if you leave it pending for a few days it's usually approves. Keep checking As though.

NT: I just did a 2BM for 2 new Business Ink Unlimited cards (to replace 2 Ink preferred), and when I called recon she told me the second application was automatically denied because it was detected as a duplicate since both were on the same day. Is the 2/3/4BM dead?

No
So why was my app automatically declined? She told me they didn’t even do a credit pull for that card. I was approved in minutes when I reapplied today
