Is there anything to argue when denied for too much inquires or too short history while there's no card avail to close or move credit from? (and no bank acc)

Had a fun time with Recon.

Closed BA and CO OPP MC.  Approved for a new CO OPP MC (UA MPE MC) and SP Visa.

App recon said there's no way I can have 2 SPs.  Called credit analyst and got it approved.
Rep also told me if I go over $100K in total credit lines I'll have to send in tax returns.

Another rep said, Wow, it seems like you have pretty much every card we have to offer.

Current Chase lineup:
-Freedom Visa Exclusives
-Hyatt Visa
-Sapphire Preferred MC
-Sapphire Preferred Visa
-SWA Visa
-UA MPE MC
-UA MPE Visa
-UA PP MC
-Ink Bold Exclusives
-Ink Classic 5/2/1

Did credit analyst approve the sp automatically? did they ask why you need 2 sp's? did you just call them to ask for the status of the app and they said that its approved?

Didn't Chase change their policy so now all CC's report the CL?

Yes they did a few months ago. If not all, then most. They used to only report the highest balance obtained during the life.
I boosted my 7k line to 11k with extended pay-off time. I asked them to hold off interest for a month, they gave me 2 months with no interest. Still got a $59 interest charge at the 2nd month by the computer, but a simple call got that credited. Shortly after all that hard work,
my new CL was 11k, exactly 11k, because I made it so with a balance as that. However they soon switched the card to report the actual
lines afterwards. So my report shows 11k high balance with 7k limit now >:(

NPSL just means the won't deny you for your set credit limit until they feel it's too much. Also it may mean that the line won't count as part of the overall CL/utilization % picture of all lines on your bureaus. NPSL utilization, also, may not be considered within the total of all lines of the bureaus. Someone here who has credit monitoring and a high balance on an NPSL card, and decides to suddenly pay it off can confirm this (you would have to be sure the high bal was reported the previous month).

Sidenote: I'd really like to do a dual-browser app this week. I know I want United, but I've had, and scored the CO bonus twice already. I also got 3 other new apps approved in the last 8 months and concerned that it might be too risky to do a dual-browser. If I did, I'm not sure what other card I'd want. Are people here getting both Visa/MC version of United and still getting the bonuses? That seems strange that it would be allowed. I thought the default was Visa for UA.

Why would I need to App recon and credit analyst to find out it was approved?
Of course it was denied and I had to explain why they should approve me and they did.

I assume he goes into detail about the benefits each card has with their respective programs, and if he has a MC and Visa version of each card, he tells them about the dollar store stuff, CDW, etc
Yes, but this is the first time I've had 2 active SPs.
Of course.  Know each card's benefit fluently and it's not hard to even teach the recon rep a few things.  I also agreed with statements like, "Yup, you've got my entire wallet."  They eat that stuff up.  And frankly it's true.

I applied for  SP, UA, and CO .
Got the SP and UA approved.  My problem is that now the CO application turned into a UA application.  When I called for reconsideration for the first time - about 2 weeks ago - the rep said that I can't have 2 of the same product even though one is visa and one is MC.

I keep calling back but the first rep noted my account so every time I call they see the comments and they say it can't be done.

Any idea what I should do? How can I prove them that a customer is allowed to have both?

Have you called both recon numbers and explained why you want both?

Yes. But they see note on my account and they they say that its not possible for one person to have two of the same product.

I tried telling her that I know its possible bec I've seen people with both. She sort of told me that I'm bs'ing.  How can I prove it?

Just applied for United, SP and Freedom. Got instant on United and pending on the other 2... How long is it recommended to wait before calling and will they be able to see all 3 apps and therefore give me a hard time?

IME it didn't help to wait. Just find out the individual Reference Numbers from them (instead of using your SSN to pull up the apps) and give that to them and say, "I'm calling about Freedom card" or whichever your calling about.

I personally didn't want to wait until I got the letters in the mail. I just called up gave my SSN said I wanted to know whats up with my apps and they said whatever the status was (pending, denied, etc.) and I then asked for each reference number to each app and wrote it down. Hang up and call back later with reference number. They very well might spot the other apps, but I found it easier bc I told them I am only calling in reference to A B or C

K I called got the numbers... They said I was denied for both Freedom and SP because of my recent approval for the United card. Any key things to mention why I want each card aside from the miles? Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated, it's been a while since I had to do recons and I've never had much luck with Chase...

Check the benefits of each card and just choose the one that suits you. If you have a chase checking account tell them you want the freedom to compliment it. For the SP tell them you want a card with no forex fee

Thanks. I think I'd prefer the SP b/c it has a bigger sign up bonus... I assume I have little chance of getting both but I'll try the SP first and tell them how much I like the no foreign exchange fee... Then I guess I'll call after about the Freedom.
