Chase Fraud # 1: 1-877-470-9042  [Mon-Fri 8:00AM-8:00PM ET]
Chase Fraud # 2: 1-800-278-8830
(If you have a fraud alert on your account, recon will instantly transfer you here for verification, so you might as well call directly)

To fax in verification documents:
#1: 888-643-9624
#2: 888-643-9628
#3: 201-328-3289 (according to a rep from this dept, it's quicker than the other listed numbers)

Chase CS #: 1-800-432-3117

To know whether your application is pending or declined:
Call CS 1-888-338-2586 or 1-800-432-3117 and press # or 1. (If it's asking for your full 16 digits account number, it's 1. If it's asking for only your last 4 digits, it's #)
Press 3, then 1, then key in your SSN.
If you hear:
This application is being reviewed. You will be notified in writing of our decision, in approximately 2 weeks
It's pending.
If you hear:
This application is being reviewed. You will be notified in writing, within 7 to 10 business days, of our decision
It's been declined.

Business cards application status: call 800-453-9719.

7-10 day message on the business application line does not mean a denial.

No matter what the status of your app is or what the page said after you hit submit or what Chase emailed you, etc... CALL TODAY! Any "pending" issues can either be addressed once you get your letter in the mail in 2 weeks, or you can JUST CALL TODAY!
And if at first you don't succeed HUCA, HUCA, HUCA etc. If they tell you there's a max of 2 cards per 30 days, HUCA!
PS: If the reason you were declined on a 5/24 card is 5/24, and you are indeed 5/24, YOU WILL NOT GET APPROVED.

They requested DOB verification. After that it went to 7-10 day message which normally means denied. Sent in DOB docs and the next day new CSP card shows up in my log in.
Great!
BTW, When they ask for verification it usually changes to the 7 -10 days message.
If it benefits even just one fellow DDFer, its worth posting it.

I just applied for the chase ink cash card and got declined right away. When I called to find out why they said I opened 7 cards in the last two years. I told them I only opened 4 personal cards and I am an authorized user on 4 cards. Does it make sense that I get denied bc of that?

Yes, but it's a mistake. It means that their review team counted your AU cards and personal card. You need to call recon and explain.

I called a few more times and finally got to be reconsidered. They said I will be sent a letter within 1-2 weeks, is that a good or bad sign?

So cardmatch says I should apply for Freedom Unlimited or plain freedom. Is that advisable now that I've gotten CSP approved recently or just lay off another application with Chase for now?

Card match isn't aware of chase shutdowns its recommended to wait 3 months in between chase cards

Call 800-432-3117 Press #, 3, 1, then enter your SS#
If the message says 7-10 days then its declined or they need more info, if its the 30 day or 2 week message then its still being processed.
I love DDF lol. This is so helpful. Checked on my ink applied for yesterday and I got 2 week message. Question: does this mean I am definitely under 5/24? Or not necessarily. I wasn't 100% sure.

Yes. If you were over 5/24 it would have been a automatic denial

It's been about 5 days, do you think I should call or wait?

it is normal to take more then 5 days. but you could try to call. (they may say that it is being reviewed by a back office and there is nothing they could do)

FTFY
And even then it could just be that they want some additional information.

Have CSR, applied for CSP, got denied for already having a card in the sapphire family, per rep. Says my credit wasn't even pulled. Called CS to downgrade my CSR with intention of then reapplying after like a day (which I just upgraded in Sep) and she started pulling up all my upgrading/downgrading history (which is extensive). She tells me I can't downgrade for a year once I convert to a certain card I must keep it for a year (I feel like that's not a hard rule, but anyway). She just put me on hold to "investigate" but that hold went on for a few minutes and I didn't think anything positive was going to come from it so I hung up. Now not sure what to do.
