Was told by business recon #2 that since have 9 cards (personal + business combined) with them, they don’t want to approve a 10th.

Will consolidating credit lines and then closing the associated cards hurt my credit score and/or relationship with chase? I figure can easily trim 3 x freedoms from portfolio with no decrease in credit line.

They also mentioned low credit usage as factor, which is my fault as have been focusing my spend attention on Amex cards. How much $/ how many months do I need to spend across cards before re-applying?

on my 3rd recon attempt (after closing 3 cards and moving a CL) i was told to call their verification department after telling my whole megillah and being put on hold a few times.

is this a good sign? i dont recall ever speaking with a verification dept before during recon.

Only one way to find out.
I got a (e)letter in the mail after a recon call telling me to talk to the verification team after which I was approved

Under 5/24(according to my count) applied for ink, got 'needs review' message, called right after and got 7-10 day message.

I assume it's denial but why no review? Would like to figure out before calling recon.

7-10 day message on the business application line does not mean a denial.

Was told by the rep my application was sent for a second review.
Nothing can be done now.

I've been on hold with chase fraud verification to complete my CSP 100K application since 9:10 am this morning (4 hrs!). Besides being on hold yesterday for 70 min & then 95 min... Is anyone else experiencing these "normal than longer hold time"?

Standard. Pathetic, but standard. One rep even told me that I should try in the early mornings because it's less backed up. Insane waits.

A rep finally answered and said that she needs to transfer me to card lending services

( I think that's what she said). I heard music for a few minutes and now its been quiet for the past hour. Should I hang up and start again? What number do I call to reach the lending services directly?

Applied for business card.
By mistake made up a business name, instead of providing my own name.
Now they're asking for legal proof of business name.
Any advice? Any way out?

Applied for the Chase Sapphire preferred and got approved. A few days earlier I applied for a Chase Sapphire preferred but was declined because my Chase Sapphire reserve still showed in the system. A day before I got declined for the same reason. On the third try I got approved.

I also applied for the Chase ink, but got declined for too many credit applications. I applied for the chasing on the same day my Chase Sapphire was approved.

I haven't applied for Chase cards in 4 years, can it be that I was declined for attempting three apps even though I only got approved for one? Or perhaps because I applied for the ink the same day as the sapphire preferred? Anyone know?

Any chance to recon this?

I just got my approval for the sapphire card after applying for a second time. After getting denied, I opened a chase banking account and I think that helped. After applying for the second time, I didn't get an instant decision. after a few days with no notice from Chase, I called them up and they said they needed to verify my identity. they asked me some questions and sent a code to my phone. I was then told that I had been approved, and I received my card a few days later. I found it a little strange that they waited for me to call them though. If you are still waiting for a decision, give it a try.
