Chase Fraud # 2: 1-800-278-8830
(If you have a fraud alert on your account, recon will instantly transfer you here for verification, so you might as well call directly)

To fax in verification documents:
#1: 888-643-9624
#2: 888-643-9628
#3: 201-328-3289 (according to a rep from this dept, it's quicker than the other listed numbers)

Chase CS #: 1-800-432-3117

To know whether your application is pending or declined:
Call CS 1-888-338-2586 or 1-800-432-3117 and press # or 1. (If it's asking for your full 16 digits account number, it's 1. If it's asking for only your last 4 digits, it's #)
Press 3, then 1, then key in your SSN.
If you hear:
This application is being reviewed. You will be notified in writing of our decision, in approximately 2 weeks
It's pending.
If you hear:
This application is being reviewed. You will be notified in writing, within 7 to 10 business days, of our decision
It's been declined.

Business cards application status: call 800-453-9719.

7-10 day message on the business application line does not mean a denial.

No matter what the status of your app is or what the page said after you hit submit or what Chase emailed you, etc... CALL TODAY! Any "pending" issues can either be addressed once you get your letter in the mail in 2 weeks, or you can JUST CALL TODAY!
And if at first you don't succeed HUCA, HUCA, HUCA etc. If they tell you there's a max of 2 cards per 30 days, HUCA!
PS: If the reason you were declined on a 5/24 card is 5/24, and you are indeed 5/24, YOU WILL NOT GET APPROVED.

Just applied for three chase cards, two say i will get an answer in two weeks, and the other says 7-10 business days.

Crazy, all three cards denied. Two weeks ago one of my cards was approved (spoke to a rep on the phone) but then i waited two weeks and nothing updated on account, and now i call and all three were rejected. WTF.

I just did a 3b for my wife and we got accepted for one.  Called up recon for the second and got approved.  When she called up two nights later to recon the third, they told her that Chase has a new rule that they don't look at more than 2 applications within 30 days so we have to wait another 30 days and then reapply and they also said that they are going to monitor our other 2 accounts' spending.  Anyone else hear about something like this?  Would we get a different answer if we call again?

You waited a full week?  But aren't they taking notes on the calls now?

Just reconned an IP and was approved without a single question other than mother's maiden name. Weird.

Yes. If you called recon and they declined you again it extends the clock another 30 days.

I guess that would explain why my app from May is still open...
How many times can this be done? (Chase said reason they aren't approving is that they want to see a track record of payments and that 1 month wasn't close to enough.)

Probably indefinitely but eventually they will want to pull again so it doesn't really matter.

It could matter if it keeps an offer that is no longer available on the table

True, good point. Although Chase is really good at matching past offers within 90 days.

Well this is just getting painful. I have 3 outstanding applications from a 4bm I did mid June.
I managed to get IB but was a no go on the IBP, south west and the last one quite honestly I am so annoyed I can,t even tell you which card it was for. Anyway I have HUCA'd a whole slew of times and today was told by the representative after she disappeared on me for a good 5 minutes today they will not approve anything until the see some history. Of course she would not elaborate much more after that and when I offered moving credit even from the IB I have, she said they cannot move credit from the IB to another card. The icing on the cake? She said the application will only remain open a few more days and then I'll need to reapply. Any pearls of wisdom what I should do or say to be more successful? To further confound the issue she also mentioned a prior bankruptcy. Since then
I have several Capitol 1 cards and quite honestly I just want to retire those gorillas. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.Thanks.

I'm giving up.
Went 1 for 2 for 2 ppl, and multiple SMs and calls didn't work for either of the 2 outstanding apps.

Btw this and an o-for Barclays AOR, I'm kinda in the dumps.

That sucks.
Did you try the special reconsideration form from a banker?

Did you have any Barclay cards before? IME, with no prior cards, you will only get one card. What was Barclays reason for declining you?

-1 I got two my first time. First instantly and second after reconsideration. They split the CL.
