Sorry my apologies.... but bet 12 and 18 is not such a big differents... IMO whoever can get 12 from one Bank can get 18 :P
He never said he got them all from 1 bank, he just may have done all the apps at the same time so that neither bank would see thee other's credit pull

And have it die in a week?
I'd rather not.

My point is that it's doable.

He pretty clearly said 12 from 1 Bank. 1 member was assuming its City, this days I would Imagine everything besides city...

Well at least noone will google 12bm, so hopefully you can lay low with this one...
I'll guess the 12 were from chase
Which is exactly why I don't think it's Chase... (Dan wouldn't blow his cover in a chase thread)
My guess is Citi.
That would be my last guess...
I wouldn't either guess, Amex, BofA, Barclay, US bank, or Discover...
I'd guess the motivation would be making the 3 pulls worth it...

I did a Chase 3bm last week (BA, Ink Plus, SW) and got instant approval on BA but denied on other 2. Called recon for the Ink Plus and got it approved but when I called for the SW the rep told me that Chase's policy is that can't open more than 2 cards in a 30-day period. I offered to shift credit lines but he said only way to get approved for SW was to close the BA or IP.

Is that a legit policy or should I just HUCA?

I was told the same thing recently also. And with enough huca got a new card approved. Although it was biz and rest were personal.

Yes it is. People have gone around it by playing HUCA or waiting 30 days after you reconsider. When you reconsider a application your 30 days cycle that the application stays in the system restarts (as per previous posters) so after 30 days from your 2 approved applications try your luck again!
Also try SM.
