To fax in verification documents:
#1: 888-643-9624
#2: 888-643-9628
#3: 201-328-3289 (according to a rep from this dept, it's quicker than the other listed numbers)

Chase CS #: 1-800-432-3117

Call CS 1-888-338-2586 or 1-800-432-3117 and press # or 1. (If it's asking for your full 16 digits account number, it's 1. If it's asking for only your last 4 digits, it's #)
Press 3, then 1, then key in your SSN.

This application is being reviewed. You will be notified in writing of our decision, in approximately 2 weeks
It's pending.
If you hear:
This application is being reviewed. You will be notified in writing, within 7 to 10 business days, of our decision
It's been declined.

Business cards application status: call 800-453-9719.

7-10 day message on the business application line does not mean a denial.

No matter what the status of your app is or what the page said after you hit submit or what Chase emailed you, etc... CALL TODAY! Any "pending" issues can either be addressed once you get your letter in the mail in 2 weeks, or you can JUST CALL TODAY!
And if at first you don't succeed HUCA, HUCA, HUCA etc. If they tell you there's a max of 2 cards per 30 days, HUCA!
PS: If the reason you were declined on a 5/24 card is 5/24, and you are indeed 5/24, YOU WILL NOT GET APPROVED.

Did two HUCA today, and they mentioned that I already called today.

Will I have more luck tomorrow, or some evil rep wrote something on my app?  >:(

I did a 2BM on Freedom and SP got IA/pending called recon and got SP approved by shifting CL. Within 30 days applied for Marriott (big mistake) & got denied. Called recon and offered to do consolidation but rejected. Any hope with HUCA?
I HUCA'd twice, should I bother again or lost case?

Got approved today for sp which I applied for together with a united explorer in a 2bm I called for the united tonight and they said I was denied due to verification problems and I should call that department my only problem with this is that with the sp they also had some problem but the department called and then they approved and here they didn't call they just said denied and only when I called they told me to call them. Is this normal? Any chances in getting it approved?

I called 888.688.6708 to verify, and then I called recon and was approved.

I did a Chase 2bm for my brother for an SP and United Explorer card. When I called up they said both were declined due to him having no credit. I was able to get the United card approved for a $2k line, but they said since the SP has a minimum credit line of $5k he couldn't get approved. Any chance of getting approved for the SP here?

From the Wiki:

"If it says you'll be notified in approx 2 weeks, it's pending".

So should I call recon or just assume it'll be approved?

Thanks.

Here is a question for those in the know:

Chase offered to allow me to open a chase Ink Classic (no-fee 20k points) only if I would reduce my Freedom credit limit by 23k. They would give me a 10k credit line on the Ink Classic. This is because they say I applied for too many credit cards. I said no, because I did not want a net reduction in my credit line. However, now I am having second thoughts and are wondering if it is worth it. I presently have a 43k credit limit because I consolidated my Sapphire when I closed it. Any thoughts out there? TIA

Too lumped together for me to read the whole post,  but I skimmed through it.

Shifting over cl to a new card isn't a credit reduction.

Thank you for taking the time. Basically they want to take 23k from my freedom credit line, but only give me 10k on the ink classic credit line. so i will be losing 13k in credit line. How will this affect my credit rating? Is this a worthwhile trade to get the ink classic card?

Depends how much of it you tend to use.

i don't use much of the total, so i am assuming that you would think it is worthwhile trade

I don't think its worthwhile since you're losing leverage for opening more cards in future. Rather hold on to full CL and try again a little later.
