PS: If the reason you were declined on a 5/24 card is 5/24, and you are indeed 5/24, YOU WILL NOT GET APPROVED.

what did you tell tham? i tried HUCA 5-6 times they all read the notes and all say the same it is impossible to have both. Dis they let you keep the MC? i even tried by closing another card and shifting over the credit but it didnt help.
I called up and they asked me why I want both so I said there are merchants that don't take MC! So they said ok and gave it to me without closing my MC!!

Also, make your argument before they put you on hold to 'check it out' and read everyone else's notes.

so my wife applied for Chase Freedom and got denied. The interesting thing is that she is getting targeted offers in the mail.

She already had the pull for the online app. Should she hold off the targeted offers?

HUCA.

Targeted offers do not mean approval, just that they want you for that card.

My wife already got the letter saying that she was denied approval. Is there still any chance of getting approved if she calls recon ?

What is a good excuse for lack of credit history for the ink cards? I have 2 chase personal cards... 1 year average credit history and great credit and great history with chase. I have a real registered company about 2 years old with reported income of 60k

So I tried to apply for the Ink Plus yesterday, got the standard "we will review you application" message and called business recon to see if they could speed up the process. I figured I had a really good chance since I recently got approved for a Sapphire Preferred and a Freedom using a 2bm with no issues. I also recently got the Citi AA 100k card (all of these within last ~40 days or so).

I HUCA'd 3 times and they kept telling me I am denied. Oddly enough they didn't mention anything about opening 2 new cards with Chase lately, just the fact that I had a high balance on the citi card (obviously because I spent $10k on it to get the bonus). Its crazy because I had just put in the payment for it a day before (the purchase was made less than 2 weeks ago) and it seems Citi reported the balance yesterday.

Any idea what I can do? If I get a letter from Citi saying the balance was paid and fax to chase would that help? I otherwise have a very good history with Chase, 3 other cards before the 2 new ones, always use each card each month, always pay full balance on every card every month, usually before the bill rolls.

Thanks Guys,
JD

P.S. For business cards, do they do a hard pull but just not report spending each month or do they not do a hard pull. A little unsure.

of course they do a hard pull.

I did a 2bm on ink plus and bold denied on both called recon asked what type of business told I buy and resell supplies for local businesses they asked for site told I don't have, and if I have tax return documents I stated in app the business is open for 2 years ( I don't have any tax info)
but I have some personal cards with them for a couple of years never been late .

Learn how to sweet talk, offer to shift credit,  talk up how well you business is doing and the room for potential growth. Also, tell them that you are a long time chase customer and have never missed a payment etc... Good luck. Let us know how it goes.
