To fax in verification documents:

#2: 888-643-9628

Call CS 1-888-338-2586 or 1-800-432-3117 and press # or 1. (If it's asking for your full 16 digits account number, it's 1. If it's asking for only your last 4 digits, it's #)

It's pending.

It's been declined.

Business cards application status: call 800-453-9719.

7-10 day message on the business application line does not mean a denial.

No matter what the status of your app is or what the page said after you hit submit or what Chase emailed you, etc... CALL TODAY! Any "pending" issues can either be addressed once you get your letter in the mail in 2 weeks, or you can JUST CALL TODAY!
And if at first you don't succeed HUCA, HUCA, HUCA etc. If they tell you there's a max of 2 cards per 30 days, HUCA!
PS: If the reason you were declined on a 5/24 card is 5/24, and you are indeed 5/24, YOU WILL NOT GET APPROVED.

Wow, I'm really grateful that I haven't had to HUCA yet. I will now though - applied 3bm for Ink Plus, Marriot, Sapphire. Only got approved for Ink Plus (which is good). First call to Recon said their policy is only 2 new Chase products every 30 days. Anyone ever heard that one?

Anyhow, he approved the Sapphire, gonna HUCA for the Marriot.

Yes it's a common argument but it can be beaten

Just that.
But u can try pushing it in, do the spending on 1 card quickly move the due date back so that you should get the points issued asap & then cancel the card to get the new card issued!

I froze my EX to apply for the Ink Plus 70k. (My EX is around 700 with lots of pulls. My TU is 752 and less pulls.)  Recon says the only way they can look at the app is if I unfreeze EX. They say the cannot pull another bureau.   Any ideas?

HUCA, but it's unlikely you'll get them to budge.

Although I went on a CC spree last month (incl. a few from Chase), I decided to try the Ink Plus 70k offer now and I included the Marriott with it on a 2BM. I was immediately approved for the Marriott (with a 5k CL) and the Ink was "pending further review" - AKA declined. Any tips for Recon?

close marriot and open ink.
the Ink was "pending further review" - AKA declined.
2 friends of mine applied for ink and was "pending..." and they got the confirmation email without calling recon about 5 days after they applied

Thanks for your insights.
But it's definitely worth calling and asking to see.

A payment I made to chase was declined by my bank. (Some kind of security freeze)
The payment was not due yet. Will this have any affect on my relationship with chase?

I currently have the chase slate card amongst some of my other chase cards, ink bold and plus, sp, and ba and the 18 months of 0% apr is almost over on my current slate, i am thinking that it might make sense to apply for another slate and transfer some of my high balances that i have on some of my other cards to save on a lot of interest, what are the chances they would approve me?
My credit is pretty decent although they declined my app for the ua card about two months ago when I did a 2 bm.
if i'm originally declined would calling recon help?

Try regular recon 18882702127
I've had previousl success in getting them to recon for business cards too someone even told me that they recently merged the 2 departments in one so that everyone is trained in all types of recon (business/consumer) though sometimes they told me they can't & it's a separate department so YMMV try!

I also read somewhere that they merged. No personal experience though.

Thanks, I was going to wait until tomorrow to try and get my app pushed through, but I'm on hold now while he verifies my information.  ;D Hope it goes through this time..

But it's definitely worth calling and asking to see.

You can call the automated line and it will tell you approved or pending further review. It still takes ~3 days to send the email after approval.

They grilled me on my business and then denied me. Offering to transfer credit line didn't help.

Oh well. At least we know that you can call regular recon for business.
