I guess. I've never done this before. Do you think it's worth it?
i strongly suggest you spend some time on DDF reading before applying for another card. you can get a approval from recon. you can tell them the income was incorrect and you left some things out.

Applying again with updated info doesn't necessarily guarantee automatic approval.

Scared of "updating" info on a business that doesn't exist!
What's at risk? There're no records of the business.

Ok thanks.

I would tell them that I re-evaluated/reviewed the business and am confident in my updated projections/info.

Then why can't you say that on the 1st application ? Why reapply ?

I applied for 3 cards last week Wednesday the business ink and the sapphire and the freedom and got denied for all they told me that they have 3 reasons not to approve me
1) the business is to Yung ( I wrote it's able a year old
2) I don't have a long term of on time payments only a few months ( I have the amex premier rewards gold and the sky mils for 2 months)
3) I open to many cards the last few months ( not from chas  I open a bofa and a discover)
I called 2 time for reconsideration and both told me about the same answer,  any suggestions what I should do?  What should I tell them?

Should I call Chase if they told me on 2 diff cards "We'll let you know of our decision through U.S. mail within the next 30 days. Please don't resubmit this application while waiting for our decision." or should I wait and first see what happens?

Call. "Resubmit this application" means applying again.

I only called once so far, to review it. They went through the who application with me and then, after considering, declined it and explained why. I was thinking that if I reapplied it might be approved automatically. But I will HUCA first.

I currently have the chase slate card amongst some of my other chase cards, ink bold and plus, sp, and ba and the 18 months of 0% apr is almost over on my current slate, i am thinking that it might make sense to apply for another slate and transfer some of my high balances that i have on some of my other cards to save on a lot of interest, what are the chances they would approve me?
My credit is pretty decent although they declined my app for the ua card about two months ago when I did a 2 bm.
if i'm originally declined would calling recon help?
It shouldn't hurt to call recon, but if you're carrying high balances on a regular basis, you may need to reconsider the whole credit card thing.

I did a Chase 4BM and Amex 2BM Saturday night.  Ironically, the Amex Cash was instantly approved and the SPG approved by phone today.  With Chase, much less good news to report. Here's what I applied for:
1. Ink Plus
2. BA
3. IHG
4. Marriott

I already have 5 Chase cards, all  of which I got over the summer:
1. Ink Plus
2. RR Premier Personal
3. RR Premier Business
4. Sapphire preferred
5. Freedom.

When I first called, James told me that I could only get two new cards in a 30d period and also told me he couldn't do anything about the business card (Ink Plus), so he offered to approve one card, and I took IHG.

I HUCA'd and that's when things turned south.  I got Patricia, who told me that she couldn't approve any, because I had too many cards with them.  And then after a bit, I got her to focus on one card (BA), but then she declined it -- too many open cards.  I spoke with Debbie, a "senior loan agent" or some other title.  She reviewed my credit (very solid, score over 800, always pay bills on time, have a mortgage in xs of $1M, etc) and said the issue was that I have too many open cards, and in fact, the IHG I was told earlier today was approved was actually not approved.

Debbie and I sparred (friendly and respectful all the time, but persistent on my part), and I told her how I had moved all my business to Chase over the summer and away from a competitor because I valued the customer service, how I bank with Chase now, how I have reasons for each of the cards I have applied for (anticipated travel).  She offered to allow me to close one of my existing cards to open a new BA card, but insisted that the IHG would not be approved. She emphasized that both the IHG and BA were "declined".

So, I told her I would sleep on it.  I believe in HUCA, and that's my plan for tomorrow (and if necessary, the next day and the next day....) but I would appreciate any advice from others.  How do you counter the "2 card per 30-day policy"? "We have 'fair lending practices' and need to treat all lenders same...."

Advice?  TIA.

Why don't you offer to close a card?

I have really not had good experiences getting over the "2 cards in 30 days" thing. At each HUCA I get put on hold, and then "As my colleague just told you..."

I initially did agree (she offered) to close a card, but then I felt that they did a "bait and switch" when she said I would only get to open one new one (BA) for closing one (SW).  I had previously been told by a different agent that I was approved for IHG.  I just felt cheated, but yes, I think I will end up having to close a card.

Right. Have others had success? With what approach?

Right. Have others had success? With what approach?
If you read the last few pages here (or even better, the last twenty pages), you'll see that people have had success.
You can offer to move over some CL from a different card, close a different card, wait a couple weeks, get reconsidered so that your app stays in the system for more than 30 days from the original app date and call again etc. Most importantly is to HUCA, though.
