Applied for ua business over a week ago.  They say was approved but they are waiting for united to process the rewards. When I call the 800 # for the status it says pending and will be notified in 2 weeks.

Does this make sense?
Absolutely they always say that.

It seems from recent posts that when CSP is 1 of a 2-3bm that's always the last to get approved. Why is that ?

I applied for 2 cards. Sapphire Preferred from Chase, and United Explorer from Chase.

I got denied for both.

I got the letter in the mail, and called recon for the United Explorer.

The rep told me he will do recon, he submitted it on his system and he told me that I was still denied for the same reasons stated on the letter.

So what did I do? I have read on DansDeals, "HUCA, HUCA, HUCA..."

I called back 5 minutes later, and the rep told me, "Sir, I see you have already called recon today and was rejected".

How does one then go about doing HUCA?

What were the reasons?

1. "Few revolving accounts opened long enough to establish credit history"
2. "Not enough account opened long enough to establish credit history"

The score was 730

Do you have any cards from Chase before? How many do you have overall? How old are they?

Have a reasonable response to whatever reason you wee denied: move credit if not enough, long time banking relationship if cc holder too short, etc.
Start giving your reasonable response before he goes to check your account, so he's heard your side before reading the old notes.
HUCA may be the DDF motto, but some (like me) are too weak for too much of it.

None from chase. One from Capital One - just opened. AU for over a year.

Regardless of circumstances, how does HUCA work, if they can see that you previously called and tried recon?

Also, they're interested in hearing "new information". You need to try to reframe what you said to the first rep even if you aren't actually adding any new information. For example "I wanted to point out that I'm fairly new to receiving credit, but I've handled what I've been given very responsibly (for example...) and I am interested in developing a relationship with chase because I've heard of your great customer service. I know that I would handle this new credit responsibly because etc. etc. "

+1
Try to prepare what you are going to say before you call. Jotting down a few talking points helps.  The less you ramble the better.

Hi, I've been trying to get a Chase Freedom card application reconsidered after being rejected for not having enough of a credit card history.

I've been an authorized user on my parents AmEx cards for a few years, as well as an authorized user on my husband's Freedom and Sapphire card (which he's had for a year and paid in full every month). I also have my own AmEx Everyday card which I got about a month ago.

I'm currently a full time student with a part time job and my husband works. We have a joint bank account but not with Chase.

I've called the recon number twice- both times they wouldn't even really consider it since I don't have "enough of a history with my own credit cards." Is it worth it to HUCA a third time? When would it be best to call back? I'm not exactly sure what I could add as they didn't even seem to consider it.

Thanks in advance.

Definitely worth a HUCA. Try calling in the morning or at nights. May have better luck at those times.

Just got approved (with different credentials) for Chase Sapphire Preferred and Chase United Explorer.

If I apply now for the Chase Ink card (to take advantage of the 70,000 signup bonus), what are my chance of getting approved?

Any suggestions what to say if they are really set on my lack of credit cards/history (and were not receptive to suggestions for even approving me with a very small CL?)
