How would I know if that's the case?
I looked for it on Finnair.com, and it says "null."  Does that confirm it's really cancelled?
And, FWIW,  RJ.com says "Booking on hold."

Get a travel agent who can check the notes on the ticket, they should be able to tell if it's still valid or not.
