If you got the approvel letter, you have nothing to worry about. I understand u used a non refundable rate so there are 2 options.
1. Somtime in the next few days your c.c payment will be refunded and your reservation will be changed to "house comp" with a 0.01 bill.
2. You will stay at the hotel with a reguler res and get an email afterwards requsting your bank details for a funds trensfer at which point you can email them back and requst a check to be sent by mail.
The 2nd option is actually much better becuase it counts as a reguler stay for which you will get points and a credit stay. It can also help u for the free night promo.

1: IME when they refunded the room after the stay the points I received from the stay remained in my account
2: I think they stopped with the bank transfer and returned to sending a check. But if they do ask for bank details you can definitely request a check instead.

Thanks guys. Interestingly, I got a 2nd BRG confirmation/approval email over Shabbos. My online reservation hasn't changed - still says my original cost and my cc has not yet been refunded.

I'm sitting on a few BRG's in NYC and i'm not sure if I should post them or not.


In the past I always posted BRG deals that I found since I was very grateful to this forum that gave me the knowledge to find those deals and besides a candle for one gives light to all etc'


More recently I became aware that deals that I and others post are abused by some users.

It's ok to book a room or two for yourself if you can use it.

It's not ok for people to book BRG deals in Brazil or China or somewhere that they have no intention of going to.

It's also not ok to book multiple rooms with no plan in mind other then "I'll find someone that can use it". Or worse, book multiple rooms and try to sell them.


People who do this KILL the whole BRG system.

I've posted a deal before that was around for months with no changes made. Three days after I posted it, the price was adjusted and I never saw it BRG'able since.

In the long term, abuse of the BRG system will likely cause its cancellation.

So what do you think I should do?

Good point. List the cities in general, and then if somebody wants it, they can PM you.
