I'm sure anything will be appreciated.
What do you want to spend?
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Is it preferred to give semisweet or should I just give them red dry wine?

If you have any idea of the hosts tastes that helps. Even if you know they "like wine". I would say dry red.
