to clarify and make clear: While it's prudent to keep your cc in your wallet, your wad of cash in a secure place, and not to flaunt 10 lbs of gold jewelry and diamonds walking alone at 2am in the inner city, it's still 100% the robber's responsibility for mugging someone. HE is the one who deserves the jail time. 100% clear.

His point and her point were very different. She wrote about the Hollywood culture being a factor. He wrote that someone who dresses provocatively should understand that someone may actually be provoked. The truth or fiction of the 2 are mutually exclusive.

We have some Friday PC.  :)

I just found a new supply of forks!

Old school way of thinking. Hopefully we moved past that time in our history.
I still don't get why it's different than saying don't wear bling in sketchy neighborhoods.

Yes, people shouldn't steal or assault and it's no excuse.
But why is that bad advice?

It wasnt advice. It was connecting the dots in response to Weinstein story. Not written in a vacuum.

Where do you draw the line. I have three daughters that all dress differently. Is wearing yoga pants acceptable or is that asking for it?

Nothing is asking for it. But that doesn't mean prudence wouldn't ever be of help.
