Looks to me like it is overflowing into the tube
I can't see water actually pouring into the tube.

But after looking again, it seems like water is coming out of the white pipe...even when it's up to he rim.

How do I get to stop it?

Adjust the float so it stops lower down. Probably can hand turn a screw type thing.

And the water is still going up...it stops lower down as I changed the height of the float. But then the water is just going up and I have no idea where it's coming from...( It's not coming from the pipe..)

probably just needs a new flapper. Only a couple of bucks and simple to install

If its the flapper, the the water wouldn't continue going up after it hit the level needed.

I would guess it’s the fill valve. Had it recently (I’m not a plumber). Also cost a few dollars (bet. $5-$15) and somewhat easy to install :)

+1 if you're a bit handy it should be quite simple.

I just realized that one of my toilets are running water. I opened up the top cover and it doesn't seems No different then my other toilets.

The only thing the I can think of is the (green) rubber stopper may not be tight enough. But wouldn't I see air bubbles come up if that's the case? I'm also not hearing the water refill which would be the case if the water level is going down

TIA
Isn't the white tube that dispenses water supposed to be in or right above the white cylinder.? They usually are connected

Is it normal for water (from all sinks in the house) to taste disgusting if the sink wasn't used for a couple hours? This is in a newly constructed house.

I'm just worried that it's some sort of thing that's leeching into the water from the pipes.

I'm experiencing something very strange in my house, and I would love to hear if anyone has any ideas on what could be done to resolve this issue.

This happens at least a few times a day. All of a sudden, the house fills up with a sewer smell. Now, it does not smell on the second floor, nor in the basement, where the sewage pit and the sump pump are located. It does not smell where the sewage pit is. There were times when the sump pump was clogged and I opened up the sewage pit and unclogged it, but that has not been happening in at least a year (since the tenant who clogged it with wipes multiple times moved out).

I am not sure what it may be or what other unknowns may exist that could cause this. I would appreciate any help I could get.

Thanks!

Any type of drain should have a trap below it. If you don't use the drain and the water dries out in the trap you will get sewer gas. This happens to me in the winter for the drain on my AC. I just pour a couple cups of water down it. This is something you can check.

Thanks!

I read up on that. I'm trying to figure out where that drain would be. All my toilets/showers/sinks are in use. I also smelled the drains, they don't smell. Where would I find my A/C drain? Also, if it was that, I guess it's only the unit that goes to the first floor, as the other floors don't smell? It would make sense to be that as the smell propogates through the first floor, but wouldn't it smell more than a few times a day? My A/C blows more than that.

It is unlikely to be the AC in the summer since it wouldn't dry out. Sounds like a drain which is not vented and therefore didn't have water in the trap.

So you're saying that this is something that was never built right? Or something that got clogged?
