Any leftover oil should not be poured in the sink - I put it into a shopping bag (after it cools) and throw it in the garbage
Glass pickle jars work great for the leftover grease.
I just found a new supply of forks!

I have a problem where my sink clogs up about once a month.  A fix it man came over and poured down a ton of hot water and it helped a bit then he told me to buy green gobler and i used that.  it was good for a while and then it happened again so we repeated the same steps.
The problem is that it seems to be happening way too often.

My wife is convinced the problem is we eat too much fried food and are washing the oily pans in the sink.  her solution is to stop frying with oil.  Any suggestions?
Thanks!
Have it snaked once. see what comes up. if the pipes are clear then you shouldn't have a problem with oil either, although it's always recommended to not pour down the sink. How old are the pipes?

Thank you everyone for your advice. We don't have a deep fryer so there is not that much oil in the pan.  I'm not even sure how much you would get if you tried to pour it out.
The pipes are probably between 30 and 40 years old.

they are most probably cast iron, not copper, which corrodes over time and a layer of rust builds up making them narrow. a good snake / jet will help to get all the buildup out, you can do it yourself with some help from youtube, if you have a drill it's just a small expense. just have to make sure you don't bust the pipes

There are products that help remove the buildup on the inside of the pipes. I had one that you put in the drain, let it sit overnight, and then plunge and run water.

Also consider the possibility the problem is not at the drain but in the pipe farther away. You might have to snake a good distance.

Are you running other fixtures too - Dishwasher? Sink? washing machine?
Is it electric or gas- What is the model/recovery time on it?
Is it an old tank?

When I tested there was no other hot water uses (dishwasher, washing machine, etc..). It’s a gas one, not that old, I would guess 5-7 years. How do I check recovery time?

Remove the cover on the bottom of the unit and see if the light is flashing on the console, and if so, how many flashes how often. There should be a guide on the unit to identify the issue based on the number of flashes.
If you don't care why would you comment?

Can you expound a bit? Issues as in mechanical failures of the tank itself?

More likely electrical, not mechanical. I'm not handy in this regard but I had an issue myself recently and learned about the flashy light system.

It sounds like your issue might be the same as mine which was a problem with the thermostat. I think less than $200 to replace.

Spent a ton of time googling and watching youtube videos, I'm trying to understand my heating system a bit more.

The thermostat is wired to the zone controller, the wires on the bottom of the controller - do they lead to the zone valve or to the circulator pump?
If it's not free shipping it's not worth it.

Can I just swap out a normal shower head to a rain shower or is it more complicated than that?

Not sure how someone can answer that with the info provided.
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half
