In NYC there is no code regarding steam/heating pipe being exposed or not. Just make sure youre pitching the pipe properly and add the right air valve.

You can adjust the level in the tank if you want with the thumb screw.
On the shutoff valve open it all the way then close it 1/4 to 1/2 turn.

what's the purpose of that?
 Why would one care of the tank fills very fast? That enables you to flush the toilet again right after.

When valves sit for many years they can get stuck. This gives the option to turn either way to break it free and doesn't effect the water flow.

No need to adjust. Some like to go green so will adjust it lower. Mine is just below the top of the fill tube.

There's some kind of coating, I don't know what it is.
If its porcelain or whatever, wondering if I can Kasher the sink?

Never knew the bottoms of a stainless steel sink are different than the actual sink itself.

Unless he's talking about the glue that's holding the sink against the frame of the kitchen counter?
