Modem for Optimum Voice & Internet

We have phone & internet service through Optimum.
Optimum started charging $5 - $10 a month for their modems.
It seems to me that most modems don't support voice, only internet.
The modems that support both voice and internet are very expensive, like $150 minimum.
Any suggestions?

Sure, stop paying for voice and switch to OBi+GV.

Cheaper modem (even with cost of OBi), and cheaper overall Optimum bill.

I have found Ooma a more reliable service than OBI + GV. I know slightly more expensive (paying ~$5 per month) but a lot cheaper than Optimum Voice.

Stop spamming

That was the worst service provider I have ever dealt with in my life. I attempted to port my number back out and it took almost 4 months!

I found Obi + GV to have terrible quality. Choppy audio and dropped calls.

I cannot speak to their service, have never needed it.

I find that hard to believe. You're definitely in the minority if true.

Optimum has better long distance rates.
