30 days hath September,
April, June, and November.
All the rest have 31
but February’s the shortest one.
With 28 days most of the time,
until Leap Year gives us 29.
there's an even easier way to remember.
clench your fists like you're concealing a quarter and having your little niece guess which hand it's in.
starting with your left-hand pinky knuckle, observe your knuckles and the valleys between the knuckles as you look from left to right. this will work from left to right or right to left. i guess if english is your first language, you'll go left to right. If Hebrew is, you'll probably go RTL.
pinky knuckle = jan
valley between pinky & ring feb
ring knuckle = mar
valley between ring & middle = apr
middle knuckle = may
valley between middle & index = jun
index knuckle = jul
index knuckle on rt hand = aug
valley between index & middle = sep
middle knuckle = oct
valley between middle & ring = nov
ring knuckle = dec
knuckles = 31 days
valleys = 30 days (or feb)
learned this back in 1982.
