I honestly can’t count how many accounts I have active with them. As long as you cancel all services and keep to the free plans you shouldn’t see any any charges.
Speaking from personal experience

The first month is up a in a few days so don't forget to downgrade. You have to downgrade the PLAN and the SERVICES separately to knock the cost down to free.

On the free plan only 200MB data per month is included, but you can get an extra 50MB per friend on the account (up to 10). I'm still looking to add people, send a PM if interested.

Ugly experience had to dispute charges.

whenever I had added charge which would appear on my credit card statement , I would just call the company asking them what that charge was and had them remove it.

My experience in short.
I ordered 1 sim card. But saw a day later 2 separate  charges of $.01 each plus charge of $5. Waited for the SIM card 10 days  to arrive but it didn't came. I called them up they said they don't have any option of tracking my my package. So I should wait another 2 days. Asked them about the $5 charge and the $0.01 they said that if auto refill on my account is off they charge $5 and the  $0.01 they charged bcs I so called ordered 2 SIM cards which was absolutely not true. Either way they refunded the  $5  But said that they do charge  $5 for downgrading to the free plan. Gave  another week to see if sim card will arrive but it didn't. I tried to call them and since then I wasn't able to get to costumer service, the system kept saying that something is wrong with my billing info and asked to enter my CC info. No matter from which phone I called them the system kept saying that same thing which I totally saw as a scam. Never heard such a thing that a person should not be able to get to CS unless he enters a CC. Tried several times on different days. That's when I called amex to block them from my account and dispute the 2  $.01 charges.
End of story.

The reason they ask you to enter CC num. because there's no CS unless you pay for it, they don't provide any CS, even if you get a hold of someone and you ask something besides opening a new acount they'll transfer you to automatic system which will only allow you to speak to CS if you paid for it, otherwise either you can reach them by email or on their Forum.

When you call there's no option for new account? sometimes they are helpful, if you tell them that it's regarding your new order.

I keep on getting twice a month charged 1 cent, now while I still got Chase exclusive it was worth, now my only option is to have Chase change my card number which I'm not a fan

How do I switch to a free plan?  They're only offering paid plans. $12.99 being the cheapest.

When you call there's no option for new account? sometimes they are helpful, if you tel them that it's regarding your new order.

I pressed any option they had.
