whats the cancellation policy if I book direct with them not priceline?
The price Priceline presented was probably never a valid fare, a booking at $280 on VA website would likely result in an eticket (DDMS comment)
Anyone going to bother with DOT complaint? If it really wasn't ticketed yet, probably don't have much of a complaint again Virgin Australia.
I need help to file a complaint- my flight was just canceled almost two weeks later. Already booked an LA flight and CC was charged for this flight as well.

Yeah, ridiculous! Got my notification of flight cancellation also... was skeptical at first too, but after a week going by I was really looking forward to this one. Filed a complaint...--edit: for the record, I had been issued a ticket
virgin australia won't reimburse me for my connecting United flight. "until a letter from the airline is received stating my credit has been voided." United's cancellation policy is no refunds and if you want you can pay $200 change fee and then use the value of the ticket towards a new flight. So they are claiming i have a credit with United. Any ideas?
Does your cancellation email say what happens to your ticket price? How about you go to your account on United and see if there's a way to show no credit has been issued?
Reservation, IKPPVK, was cancelled and the value of your ticket can be applied to future travel on United Airlines. Please note the confirmation number for your reservation. When you are ready to travel again, return to this cancelled reservation in Manage Reservations to make changes for a future trip. Please do not reply to this e-mail.unfortunately this is what the email says, but I have to pay a $200 change fee to use that value so i'm stuck
Did you file a DOT complaint?
Yes and the Rep said that the airline is entitled to ask for a letter from united showing my credit was voided. Am I stuck?
