If i have a citi hilton card  thats going to be converted to an amex after the switch,However i can no longer get amex cards because i underwent f/r  will i be switched over or could that potentially cause problems? and even if that does work can I attempt to apply for another amex again and wont be requested to provide tax forms?

And what would be if someone has already both hilton amexes does his current citi turn into a duplicate amex hilton? is it even possible to apply for the same card on top of another like one citi aa card and two months later with that account still open apply for it again? thank you

I have a Citi Hilton Reserve that just got the annual fee. I also have the Surpass from Amex. Does it make sense to pay the annual fee to have the card converted to Amex? There are no retention or downgrade offers available. Anyone have any thoughts if I should just pay the $95?

If you spend 10 k on it you will get a free night so its worth it for that. If not then its not worth it and just cancel

Yeah I didn't spend the 10k on it. I was curious if it would get the free night for the first year renewal like the other Surpass but I doubt it does.

Is there any way to double dip if my annual fee is up in June and i already finished spending 10k to earn a free night?meaning once the card converts from citi hilton to amex ascend can I spent 15k before card anniversary and get another night? Also,  how long after citi officially changes over to amex does hilton give you your certificate for spending 10k on your citi card ?

also got a letter from amex  with my new amex ascend card , just curious how it would work as i was f/red last year and after preemptively closing my accounts and even applying more then 6 months later back in september amex still requested i provide a 4506t form. So I dont know if ill be able to convert over and even if I can convert over does that put me on the path to start building my relationship back up with amex  that  if i apply  months later for another card I wont get flagged ?

yes you can double dip. the best would be to wait until it converts and then you only need to spend $15K and you would get 2 free nights

yes but what would   happen  to my original earned  citi certificate  if my annual fee is not due up until june time and amex flags me  and proceeds to close me down again before june?will I lose my citi hilton night after i already finished  spending the required 10k for an anniversary night with my current citi hilton card?

If it's already in your Hilton account you'll be fine.

Just got the new AMEX card today. But it was sent to my wife, who was an AU on my old Citi card. I haven't received one yet. Anyone else have this problem?

Also noticed big difference: With the Citi Reserve card, I got a complimentary Gold status with Hilton. With AMEX, it's downgraded to Silver.

It's so easy to get gold with Hilton that it shouldn't be a problem. Also, you'll be able to get diamond with the new Aspire card.

Is it to late to cancel the citi card so that I can sign up for the amex version and get the bonus?

Right, but the card I got is the lowest one.
