Any thoughts about Shabbos in San Francisco -- where is the best place to stay? There are a number of Chabad houses/shuls in the area, but they seem to all be in varying parts of the city, i.e. not all within reasonable walking distance. Any advice would be appreciated.

There is a minyan on shabbos somewhere near sabra which hosts Fri night dinner.  I have a bunch of friends who have been there.  Don't recall the name off hand.

Plan to be in Yosemite for 2 days. What's the best way for me to utilize that time (hikes/sites)?

I hear that Half Dome is mostly a mountain-climbing trail (as opposed 2 hiking). Is that true? If yes, what's the nicest hiking trail at Yosemite NP?

Half dome is mountain climbing. I don't recall off hand (its been 8 years) but there was a nice one that leads to a waterfall. It all depends on how intense of a hike you are looking for.

3-4 hours total is fine as long as it's worth it when you get up top... What's the weather like there, is it crazy hot?

Half dome is mountain climbing.
With the cable route it's supposed to be relatively "easy," but you need a permit to climb half dome and IIRC you have to get those far in advance...

but there was a nice one that leads to a waterfall.
Vernal falls?

the Mist Trail is the one I was thinking of, it takes you to Vernal Falls.

There is only one way to do Yosemite... Camping!

There are some hotel like options in the park proper I believe (which will save you a long drive in and out of the park).

Are there normal camping acommodations (clean bathrooms & showers, outlets) in the park? Cuz the closest Koa I found is over an hour away. And whaddya mean "hotel like"? Enough unhotel like that the closest hotel I can find on the hotel booking sites is in Lee Vining or Mammoth Lakes?

Any nice hotels on Priceline for tonight in San Francisco/San Jose area?
I am sometimes accused of overthinking things. I am still mulling over whether that accusation has merit.

Just saw this now.

There are regular camping accommodations. Bathrooms (and showers but I stayed away from them) I believe they had a few outlets as well. I thought there were small cabins available but again it has been awhile since I've been there.
