Activities: Toledo - a day trip from Madrid to see 2 old Shuls. Can hire a tour guide, Rabbi Hanoka (info@jewishtoledotour.com), which is not cheap, or can take a train on your own. 1 of the Shuls (El Transito) is closed on Mondays. @Yehuda went on a day when that Shul was closed, and the other Shul was really just an empty room and seemed like a Christian organization now runs the center. Without a tour guide, it was hard to get anything Jewish out of our trip (other than an antique store that had some Judaica). But, people who have taken the tour (discussed in the thread) have said it was great! Recommended to go with a tour or not go at all (and ensure to go on a day when both are open!). Report in the thread that the sometimes-closed Shul has audio headsets for use, so that would help. If going alone, you can research the Jewish places at the link HERE

Does anyone know about kosher food in Mallorca.  It seems that there is a shul and on the website it lists some kosher options....

Anyone have the answer to this?

I used to go regularly to Mallorca as we had a holiday home there. The shul is on the outskirts of Palma. Kosher provisions essentially consist of a freezer with some chicken/burgers/sausages/frozen mini challot and a cupboard with wine/grape juice to purchase. My last trip was about 4 years ago though. Anything else will need to be brought in by suitcase. Supermarkets are plentiful with inexpensive salmon/tuna/fruit/veg though.

Please let me know if you need contact details.

I'm planning a trip there right now actually, and from what I've seen, the W seems to be a nice option

We stayed in the W and had an awesome experience. The hotel is a few minutes away from the center of town and Macabi, but it's on the beach and a scene by itself.

I liked the idea of being on the beach. Are there any comparable options on the beach?

You can easily take a train to Toledo and a short cab from there to the Jewish area.

booked for a 24hr stop in BCN - approximately midnight to midnight and will have a few suitcases that will not be checked through.
Looking for suggestions for revenue hotel - specifically is it better/easier to use an airport hotel and checkout early in the am and leave suitcases at front desk or to book something near Chabad/kosher food?
It doesn't look like there are any very convenient hotels right at the airport so I am wondering if it isn't just an extra waste of time to bother with and airport hotel.

Can anyone recommend a nice hotel for one night in Barcelona? It  would probably make sense to be in the Las Ramblas Area near Maccabi Restaurant. Le Meridian looks like a good option but doesn't look like its worth the 20K Points. What other point hotels are near there? Is there a nice boutique hotel that reasonably priced?

Also, what would be the best way to make the most out of just one full day?
My wife and I did a gocar tour. Highly recommend u look them up. It's these mini cars that drive on the street. They cover all the main spots and it's gps guided so no tour guide which means u can get out and walk around as u wish.

you can rent a lot clear at the airport and this way you can be done worrying about your suitcases all day.
