Have you been Charged a hotel cancel or no show fee recently?
« on: November 06, 2017, 04:02:30 PM »
I am a hotel manager looking to do some market analysis and I am looking for some people who have recently been charged a no show or cancel fee to share there experience with me Please pm me Todah Raba.

Were you charged?
What hotel?
arrival date VS cancel date?
How you booked the reservation? ( third party or direct with the hotel)
Did you request a refund? did the hotel honor it?

I stayed at a hotel in Manhattan every other week for a year. There was one time that I needed to change plans and leave after two nights even though I had reserved three.  They wouldn't let me off the hook for the third night and I never stayed there again.

I was charged full price for cancelling a points reservation at Hilton CDG on day of arrival (son was sick so we didn't fly, hoping insurance will pick up the tab)

Wow. Seems a bit ridiculous to not show some leeway to a loyal customer. Bad move on their part.

Happened to me with Hyatt twice. No show. Direct thru Hyatts site. Once forgot i made the reservation, and once made it for the wrong night. Got refunded both times. Different hotels, iirc.
