I'm going to try and update this with the link to the article, but my wife read something that the situation for Jews in Turkey is not so great right now.

We have the the second half of round trip tickets left to fly from JFK to TLV on Aug. 25, with a stopover in Istanbul. Would you guys still fly with them?

It is time we Jews stopped supporting the Turkish economy by stopping to fly Turkish Airlines.  Would anyone fly Air Hamas to save $200 ?  The Turkish government is not a friend of Israel or the Jews.

Did you hear what the Turkish Prime Minister said about Israel?  I would pay more money and NOT fly on their airline.  In fact Israel should boycott them!

I'm going to try and dispute the charge for my ticket with Chase. Anyone have experience with doing something similar? We've already flown the first leg of a round trip ticket.

Disputing on what ground? I don't really think you can win this dispute nor should Chase allow you to win.

It's worth a try at least.. I paid ~$850 per ticket, so if there's a chance of getting half of that back and rebooking on a non Arab airline, I'll give it a shot.

On the grounds that the country is becoming increasingly hostile to Jews. I don't see how it's much different than return protection. I made a purchase, and that purchase now wants me dead, so I don't want it anymore.

Maybe for return protection but not for dispute. The airline explicitly has a cancellation policy and that should hold up in a dispute. You knew before hand that it was Arabic Airline.

Maybe so. I don't have high hopes for success. I've already decided to rebook and written off the money.
