You cannot earn miles on a mileage ticket. Period.

ETA: Unless by "higher class" you meant business instead of economy?

If the ticket costs $680 it's in W class which IIRC doesn't earn mileage

how do you book a ticket with Turkish airlines I see a fare on ITA but I cant find a way to book that fare, not on any 3rd party websites or the airlines website it self any Ideas?

there are alot of fake fares from Turkish on ITA. I find that the best bet is to email whyaich@gmail.com. He has some Turkish trick that can get many of those prices. Not sure how. I do recommend him alot, but really recommend him when it comes to Turkish. I have booked 3 tickets on Turkish in the last 3 weeks, all the fares where significantly cheaper then on Orbitz etc through him.

I was in Istanbul a few months ago, no problems at all.
