1) Personality

Thanks for the valuable info. Can you post contact information for your tour guide? Did you feel safe at all times? Did you experience any issues getting your visa or getting back in to the airport? What transportation did you use to get to and from the city?

is the 777 J ideal? comfortable? private? worth the taxes etc ?

I did feel safe at all times and getting a visa was easy. No card only cash. But you can get an evisa in advance. I used a taxi from the taxi stand to get to the city. Rates are metered. For the way back I suggest that you use Uber. The taxi driver in the city tried to rip me off but that didn't work out well for him.

Correct, they ask to see your ticket. Your ticket has both legs on them.

I forgot to mention that IST has a reasonably priced left luggage facility.

You would have to go to transfers, go to the lounge and then leave. I'm not sure if that is possible.

turkish miles and smiles booking but put mr right after the last name with no space , shlomonahmanmr instead of shlomonahman mr and shainlams instead of shainla mrs or mrs shainla would they have issues flyingon a domestic flight within the us, that is how the name is showing up on united checkin

It doesn't seem like it was a mistake, rather they put the mr for Mister and ms for Miss at the end of each name. Although it has nothing to do with Turkish when you arrive at check in, I can't imagine they'll give you a problem for that.
