So go for the dispute,  I doubt that you'll get back the whole amount,  they will try to negotiate to give you part of you money back.
don't forget to give me a commission

I just flew with Turkish I considered to take the 1 hr layover, but in the end I didn't because it was to risky I took a 3 hr layover,  all people that where on my flight missed the 1 hr layover ( you where maybe one of them
But it's definitely possible to make the 1 hr layover if the flight would be on time.

True if the flight leaves on time but statistics show that a good amount of flights especially international get delayed on average two hours so in allot of cases you will miss it (also I would never take such a flight Thursday night arriving in Turkey Friday morning cause if you miss that flight you've got bid problems)

There is a shul there ( with 24 hr security)  a lot of Jews live there.  Turkey is a very nice land.

Amex gold
I think chances to win a dispute for the flight you actually took are slim. With any credit card under any circumstances.

UA.com doesn't show all TK availability.
Search on Aeroplan.

This is ridiculous.

Disputing an airline ticket because of a 2-6 hour delay?
Are you being serious?

UA.com doesn't show all TK availability.
Search on Aeroplan.

Neither UA nor AC nor ANA show J availability on TK from ORD-IST, but Expert Flyer does. Does that mean there is availability?

I've flown it ORD-IST in Y (11 hr flight), was decent. I would do it again.

Never did Thai, but please don't put them in line with ElAl.

Yup, and business is better as well. Though the difference in Y is greater than the difference in J.
