As far as I recall it's from Star K. They certify some things in turkey.
So the entire meal is under the Star K,  or just some of the products?

Seems like the Hashgacha is OK, unless something changed.

In other news: Turkish Airlines new site makes it simple to select seats online.
I don't see the option anywhere on the new site either.

Can you please advise where you saw it?

I just called the OK and verified that indeed the KSML on Turkish is under their certification.

Now if anyone can please chime in regarding taste, it would be much appreciated.

On the new site (P.turkishairlines) under Manage Booking. Once you load the booking, scroll to the bottom and there should be  options: Passengers / Seats / Baggage / Meals / Special Assistance.

Does anyone know if there is a way to get into the lounge in Istanbul if you are not flying business, any credit cards or lounge passes that will work? or do they let you in for a fee? TIA

Anybody ever do the TourIstanbul?

There are still travel advisories for Turkey; is it any more dangerous than the rest of the Middle East?

I booked award ticket on Turkish for flight on Sunday -- half family booked through United, other half through Aeroplan.  I want to (a) request Kosher food, and (b) request that we all be seated together.  Turkish continues to tell me (i.e. multiple calls) that they cannot access my reservation but I should make the request at the airport (which will be too late for the food), and United and Aeroplan say there's nothing they can do on their end, as this is a Turkish issue.

Any advice?

If they can't access your reservation that could be a bigger ticketing issue.
Get your TK PNR and request kosher meal on TK site manage my booking

Is there a lounge in JFK, IST, and TLV for someone flying J on TK? Does he need any particular cc/membership, or is a J ticket sufficient? Thanks.
