Did United give you an ETKT number for the infant? Give TK that ETKT number and see if they can pull it up with that.

I didn't get an Etkt number from united for the infant.

On united website it's says infant lap child and name

What about online on the the receipt? If not, call UA and ask for the infants ETKT number.

UA wants me to pay $1049 for the infant because my ticket officially costs 10k and I have to pay 10%

Anything to avoid this fee ? When I booked I added a child and they didn't ask me for $$

Wow, that's really a textbook definition of "bait and switch!"  No way this will not go in your favor.
Out of curiosity, what did you book that would've gone for $10K???

Your ticket doesn't officially cost 10k, it's that either the agent is pricing for what ever reason the most expensive rev fare or that's the only one available

They might be right. What does it price at with an OTA?

Your best option would be to book the award ticket with Aeroplan (if they allow that routing). IINM they would charge a $200 for the lap infant.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!
