Waiting for review of Istanbul New Airport (I guess Erdoğan is saving it to be named after him). I hope it's a huge improvement over Atatürk Airport (and hope deodorant use by security personnel will be mandated there).
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

What's the code for the new airport? Google is giving me IST which is the old one.

Anyone have any DP regarding getting bassinet seat to TLV? Turkish reps say I need to buy the extra legroom seats and then they can request the bassinet.

Did you try emailing sales.tlv@thy.com? I've found them very helpful with other issues in the past. I don't think there is any other airport outside of Turkey that has as many TK flights as TLV does!

In general IME you get much better results from local ticketing offices of Turkish Airlines than you do from the toll free call center.

I emailed the NY office a few days ago, this was their response:
Basinet seats are payment seats. In order to confirm a basinet seat JFK IST it will cost USD 79.00 per person.
Or
If you do not want to pay, you can request basinet day of flight if it is avl check in agent will assign.

You might have better luck with the TLV office. If still no luck, try them as soon as check in opens up.

Have any visibly Chareidi Jews flown Turkish in the last few months since Erdogan has been stirring things up?
How do you feel on the plane and in the airport?
Thank you.

On my flight from ORD my sons had their kippahs and no one gave them a 2nd look.  I saw maybe one hijab on the whole plane.  It seemed to be almost all Eastern Europeans transiting there plus a group of Spanish Christian pilgrims, including their priest in his full garb and huge cross...my flights into and out of TLV were almost all frum people...all religious people should feel super comfortable on their flights...
