You do realize that Turkey is still a major trading partner with Israel.

Erdoğan isn't Turkey and Turkey isn't Erdoğan. He is a megalomaniac that wants to replace Saudi Arabia (which replaced Egypt) as leader of the Sunni world, with dreams of restoring the Sultanate.
And there are plenty of fine people in Iran who are not antagonistic towards Israel. Would you fly Iran Air if  they had nice lounges, open availability, and great customer service and flight experience??

Turkey is a NATO member. Any adverse government action to an innocent traveller will have a monumental impact on the country. It's unlikely to happen any time soon.

I am thinking of flying in a few weeks TLV-NYC-TLV on Turkish. The price is more than $200 cheaper than direct and the free second suitcase would save me an additional 100 or so bucks.
Anyone have experience or knowledge regarding Turkish lately? (Political situation, Covid issues, etc.) I have US and Israeli passports in case that makes a difference for anything.

Flew TK recently, great experience. No Kosher meals, like many airlines currently.

Turkey is open to both American and Israeli passport holders.

you can read about it here  https://www.dansdeals.com/points-travel/milespoints/wide-open-united-award-space-turkish-airlines-dirt-cheap-star-alliance-awards-valuable-ever/

You can only book online a United ticket for the Turkish account holder. Won't work for anyone else.
In short, log into your Turkish account, and the click on this link

I had an issue with a ticket a few months ago and tried emailing them. Took weeks till they responded. I've booked many tickets on the phone with them, and usually needed to HUCA a few times before I got someone who would help. If they say they can't find a flight that you know is really available, just hang up. Most of them don't know what they're doing. But after a few tries, it gets done...

Just got tickets using Turkish Miles but neglected to use my explorer card when paying the tax in order to get free luggage.

I would cancel and rebook, except that the # of miles necessary have increased since original booking.

Any ideas how to fix this?
