Booked a domestic United flight using Turkish Miles & Smiles.
Ticket showing on United.
1)  How do I get free bags?  I paid the taxes with my United credit card
2)  If i want to book Premium Plus, it only allows me to pay for Economy plus.  Anyway to book with either miles or cash direct to Premium Plus?
Thanks so much

Are you looking at book star alliance awards or strictly on Turkish air.
Try looking under star alliance awards.
Nobody answered my question on if anybody had gotten free checked bags if you charge the taxes to explorer card.
And you may have to call to book. Even if it shows availability it may not let you pay.
Super annoying

I believe your UA FFN needs to be attached to the reservation on order to receive the free bags.

It is on the reservation still showing 35 for first checked bag.

Just booked for pesach NYC-TLV via Istanbul.
I didn't do a lot of research before booking so I'm sort of desp at this point because I can still cancel
9 hour stop the way there during the day
7.5 the way home midnight until 8am
First.. My husband is Israeli with not expired passport. My son is Israeli expired passport. I'm Israeli expired passport. My other children are all technically Israeli but not registered.. Do we need visas? Can we get visas within a week? Is it safe and worthwhile to go out the way to TLV during the day time? (need visa if we go to a hotel nearby for the day?)
Next question is.. I have business platinum card. So I have priority pass. Helps me at all? Anything I can get that can help make this trip smooth?
We couldn't have flown to Israel if we didn't take these long stops so I'm just making sure I'm not making a mistake with these long stops and we won't get stuck sitting in the airport for many many hours...
Any advice is welcome. Thank you in advance.

There's plenty to do or see on your 9 hour stopover. Read through this tread for info. Turkey visa you can get at IST. Don't know answer to expired passport issue, can't imagine you can travel anywhere with expired passport. There are nice lounge options with priority pass - check the PP app for which lounges.

Also how long to get through security, etc. on return from city. Trying to plan my day.

Thanks so helpful.
We all have valid American passports. I thought Israelis don't need visas that's why I brought up that fact.
Thanks for the response! I will read through as much as I can

Anyone noticed a massive decrease in flight availability to TLV for 47,000?

Agreed, the a350-900 is the newest, sleekest, and most private (similar to Polaris) but I honestly found the a330-300 and 777 seats to be more comfortable, especially for sleeping. Wider, longer, very comfortable, and more airy overall.

Any tips? Booked a Turkish Air flight using UR points, later I added lap infant and paid the $88 fee. Turkish says lap infant was never ticketed properly by TA, though they see the name on res, and Chase says that tickets still being processed by ticketing team and they can't help me. Flights a few days away. Should I be worried? Anything I can do?
