The 5-pack of the Junior version at Walmart also is eligible for a pickup discount.  It's $8.57 with pickup savings.

Note the size difference, though.  The regular one is "3.00 x 3.00 x 2.50 Inches" while the 5-pack of the Junior is "10.00 x 2.38 x 2.00 Inches" - presumably the 10 is the 5 boxes, each at 2.

Not sure of the math but does that then mean the bigger gets broken twice as fast or is the smaller one that does so?

I don't know how size affects breaking, but if you're really particular about it resembling the slinky of your youth, or if it affects how it will work with the width of your stairs (and you're going to the trouble of calculating it in advance), you might care.
