Since thus thread is gaining Some traction, I'll ask here. Who has better Service in the Catskills, T-mobile or Sprint?
Sprint is terrible, I think Verizon is best in the Catskills

I know Sprint is bad in the Catskills, but I'm trying to convince my family to switch to T mobile and they are convinced that t mobile is worse than Sprint.

T-mobile
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

Because there are no contracts, it's totally worth giving T-Mobile a shot, at least for a month. It's insane how cheap they can be. I set up various family members (and family members' family members) on 2 different accounts. When you have the max allowed 10 lines per account, each line comes out to as little as $16/month (before tax and a 15% employee discount) for unlimited talk, text, and data - with 2.5gb high speed until Feb 2016, when it reverts back to 1gb high speed.

Howdo you get 10 lines on a plan? T-mobile only gives the option of up to 7 (at least that's the limitation on the website)

They used to limit you to 5 lines. I believe when they dropped that restriction it went to 10 lines max.

Quote from:  link=http://www.t-mobile.com/cell-phone-plans/family.html#
Family Plans: Up to 10 lines with qualifying credit and plan (6-line total limit with available credit on www.T-Mobile.com; see store or call telesales to add more).  All lines must be activated in same T-Mobile market with same billing address.

I think that 6 line limit they mention is only when you first start a plan, because I've had the option of adding more when I log into my T-Mobile account for a while. Either way, in my particular case I had to call anyway to rearrange 3 different existing accounts with 5 lines each, plus 2 more lines that I was moving from another carrier.

I have AT&T Family plan. 5 accounts. $15/month per user for unlimited talk, txt, +125/month for 10 gb data shared ($200 total a month). As i posted earlier, AT&T stopped subsidizing phone prices for upgrades, making upgrades useless. Meaning, that instead of you just paying a flat fee for new upgrade (they give you the phone for cheaper price) and paying same amount/month, now they charge you full price over 12/24/30 months, so your monthly bill goes up (usual+upgrade).

Is it worth it to just get upgrade and pay more, or buy phone on ebay and change phones? Has anyone bought a phone on ebay and had smooth/problematic transition on AT&T network?

Get a business account (using ssn).
Same price as personal but more lines (sometimes you can still get free phones by signing a 2yr contract)
I can add up to 25 lines on my account.

Saw your PM before I saw this reply, but I'll post here again for everyone else, especially since I think it might not be available anymore.

It's not a code, it's an employee discount, part of the T-Mobile advantage program. City of NY and State of NY employees should be eligible for the 15% discount, and there are many other companies that have discounts. However, it's implied here that if you enrolled in the program after 4/1/14, you don't get the monthly discount, you're only eligible for a $25 T-Mobile gift card each time you get a new phone. I'm not 100% sure of how that works, or if that's really true, so if your company says they get a discount at T-Mobile, it's at least worth looking into.

Does it drop the price per line at all past the first 10? What does it cost per moth for the full 25 lines?

It used to be priced such that the price per line decreased as you added lines, till it reached 6 lines for $120, and then every line after that was $20 as well. But when they moved to the newer prices, every line from 3-10 is $10 ($80 for the first 2), so the price decreases for each line all the way till the 10th line, bottoming out at $16/line/month.

I believe its $50 Then $30 and then $10 for the rest up to 25 lines.
(it used to be $80 for 2 $10 for the next 4 and then $20 for all lines after that but 2 months ago they dropped it to $10 for all the rest of the lines)
