At this time of year they are. Ive had Hernadi himself drive my wife and I many times. He very reliable even with brokering. Unless you plan on going to places that are not standard then you need someone  like him, who knows those non-standard places.

I had Hernadi rip off a family member of mine

Ive known him since 2002. Never ripped me off. Charges fixed price for 12 hour days. Hes told me that people try to squeeze 15 and 18 hours for the 12 hour price. So make your own decisions. He recently tried to charge more and I called him out on it. $250-$300 for 12 hours is a fair price for a car with him. Know what you're getting into with him. Thats all.

Roads are good In Hungary & Poland. Poland if you are stopped by police without an IDP it's like driving without license. Speeding 50 over in Hungary is a 300k ft fine

Last year. My friend was stopped in Poland. They towed away the car. Made him go to a ATM machine to take out the cash to pay the fine on the spot.

You meant 50 over the speed limit? I would never do that even in the US.
Do I need an IDP in Hungary?

I guess i was Lucky that they let me go with just a fine, though he made me pay the fine on the spot.
