Avoid Euronet ATMs at tourist sites. The ATM "exchange guarantee" is a scam and hidden fee that should be avoided.

Thanks.
Is that Singapore Airlines? I don't see any flights from NY to BUD through FRA.
You need to book the tickets separately
If you are going till Oct LOT is flying a direct flight from JFK to BUD
Afterwards there's only flights with a connection

I think they only fly there seasonally.

Queens court vs continental?
Pros cons of staying at each. Want to be close to food and shul. Any other good options that are within the same price range?

Never stayed at Queens Court. Continental is in the right area for food ans shul but thats where it ends. Tiny rooms even upgraded room was small. Clean hotel but not anywhere near what you can get for your money. I still prefer Kempinski. Its walking distance to food and shul.

Does anyone know if/where I can rent a ballroom for 30 people? Most hotels within walking distance to Shul do not allow outside food in their conference and ball rooms.

I don't want to eat by Hanna, Carmel etc. I want to bring my own caterer.

Any leads would be appreciated.

Kosher Deli is problematic. The butcher shop only has imported meats from Vienna it is 100% reliable. Hanna, Carmel and Tel Aviv are all reliable. Was just there after Sukkos.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but for the sake of other visitors: re: Kosher Deli Budapest ask your LOR
I misspoke earlier, apologies... As long as Rav Channen gives a hechsher it's good to go. He has a local representative.

R’ Channen is a respected rav, the hechsher has a local mashgiach.
The locals probably don't like the location and they can go home and eat in their own kitchen.
If you know of a specific problem either post it or contact the hechsher.
In good Jewish fashion all the different groups in Hungary hint and insinuate that the other groups' food establishments are not kosher.

Are you affiliated with this establishment?

I am not affiliated with any establishment except my own frying pan and coffee mug in my own non-commercial kitchen.
However, I did meet Rav Channen several times and he is a talmid chacham. I have no reason to assume that his hechsher is questionable.

Father and teenage daughter visiting Budapest in January over Shabbos. Which prepaid place (Carmel, Hanna, Chabad, Other?) has the best food (and vibe)? We could split up dinner and lunch to try two places if no one place is superior, but happy to hear thoughts and advice. Also about restaurants in general and a good Shabbos place to daven in the Jewish Quarter. Thanks
