Avoid Euronet ATMs at tourist sites. Any update on Hanna Restaurant being open/closed? Reopening? Is the Shul next door still open?
Would be a shame to lose Hanna - good food, reasonable prices, been around forever. Hope they come back...

Is it cheaper to just get uber from airport to Jewish area shul or to call a driver to pickup?

You can also take a bus from right outside the terminal that runs express and drops you off in the center of town, then you have a 5 minute walk to anywhere in the Jewish quarter. Costs like $5 and is as quick as a taxi and hassle free. Carry your luggage on the bus with you. The machines that sell tickets by the bus stop are easy to use, in English, and take credit cards. We use this both ways for airport transportation and its very easy, assuming you don't have loads and loads of luggage to shlep.

Yes.
I was there two days last week both showed rain in the forecast and both ended up being beautiful and mostly sunny. I don't think this is the norm in May though.

For those traveling thru BUD airport during Reb Shaya'la yurzeit

Maybe I should put this in the Switzerland thread. 1/2 hour by car from Zurich is the village of Endingen. Jews from USA, Israel and London arrived to daven at the קבר of ר'רפאל ריס yesterday
פועל ישועות and סגולה for שידוכים.

Where is the best hotel to stay for Shabbos?  Is it better to eat in Chabad or in the restaurant Hanna?  How many days do you need to spend in Hungary?

I stayed at the Continental, it is decent. You just have to request to disable the sensors in the hallways.
Carmel is more upscale, more expensive. Hanna is authentic Hungarian, and cheaper.
