Avoid Euronet ATMs at tourist sites. The ATM "exchange guarantee" is a scam and hidden fee that should be avoided.

I dont have numbers for either place. As @yelped suggests, Liska is 10 minutes from Keristir and Ujhel is not too far either. Go explore the city. Its safe and there is plenty to see in the city. Keristir is a full day to and from the city.

Will do. Although what happened yesterday at Dagestan Airport in Russia, makes a bit nervous...
Without visiting Kevorim and business, just Kerestir and BUD is 3 days tooo long ?

Paid the flights to BUD for next week. Also paid online to see the Parlament. But I think I'm not going. The daily news, the world is against us,to be at Kerestir, with those Antisemiten around us...doesn't look like a wise thing to do....just letting my thoughts out...

The Hungarian drivers do not go into Ukraine from my experience. You meet s Ukrainian driver at the border. Walking over the border is also shorter than driving. Saves you hours.

Note, you cannot walk through the Chop border, only option is by car or train.
If you're not more than 3 people, you can try to get a ride with locals driving through the border with a small tip.

Chop is a commercial crossing. I personally walked through the one in Slovakia near Uzhgorod. Beregszaz is another one to walk over.

That must have been really back in the day.

I can't imagine Reb Shayale not saying anything about people not going to his Rebbe (especially when it's 10 minutes away).
I was there at nighttime about 8 years ago, a gang of youngsters with sticks started forming around us, looked like trouble, had to jump into the car and get away.
Perhaps by day is safer.

Don't know. Never had any issues when I was there and people go all the time.
