Avoid Euronet ATMs at tourist sites. The ATM "exchange guarantee" is a scam and hidden fee that should be avoided.

Will be in Budapest in May for 3 days, where is the best place to rent a car online?
Is it hard to drive around Hungary by yourself? (first time there)
Staying at the New York Palace, anyone with any experience with this hotel? Looks like its walking distance to all kosher restaurants.

Not a problem to drive there. I have done it a couple of times.
I would recommend getting a international drivers license,

Are you sure about that? I don't think in Hungary they require International License.

You and 40,000 others are looking for the same thing. Youre not gonna find cheap there next week. You will probably have to expand the area of your search.

As I said. The rental does not require it. But it does not hurt to get one. It cost about $20 ,

Never needed one in Hungary. Rented many times. Even when pulled over by Police, a few times.

At this time of year they are. Ive had Hernadi himself drive my wife and I many times. He very reliable even with brokering. Unless you plan on going to places that are not standard then you need someone  like him, who knows those non-standard places.
