Interesting indeed, and as the article says: demystifying. I just didn't get it clear if a proprietary score would have to be sent or not (it starts off saying no, but then it becomes unclear).

I just got my FICO from BofA upon approval. 767 TU score, sweet.

Plus even if you'll call recon you could still get your free credit report/score

Maybe call Chase about one of your recent apps and ask about your score.

the topic says denied cc? but the truth you should get it even if you're approved

so? my poiny is that even if you'd eventually get approved as of now you are entitled to see your score, just like it has been with the report.

even you you get approved right away if you don't get the best interest rate( a term called "adversely approved") you'd still be entitled to the report and score.

I got the Signature card for all three apps, that has the best interest rate. I wasn't immediately approved, I had to work it via recon.

true. I think people want to know what their score is when they're denied more than when they're approved.

as i'm sure most people around here would like to know their scores regardless. that way they know if they can do more apps

See, that's the funny thing. Heavy churners usually maintain a good score, but are more worried about the other factors (inquiries, too much outstanding credit, too many recent accounts opened, etc.).

How about after I get approved? can I still go online and get a free report from experian because of the initial denial? I'm asking because i could really use a experian issued copy of my report and I applied with chase a few weeks ago and they initially denied me after pulling experian?
