Best place for new oven during BF season
« on: November 23, 2017, 07:16:09 PM »
I've been researching and finally decided on a Samsung oven (NX58M6650) - Found it at Costco, JC Penney, Sears, Lowe's, Home Depot, Best Buy, and Abt (which is local for me), all for the same price. Which store would you buy from and why?

Depending on your location, I'd call Jewish stores too and see if they are cheaper.
Workflowy. You won't know what you're missing until you try it.

I'm in Chicago - no Jewish stores that I know of carry large appliances here (but I'd be happy to be told I'm wrong)

Agreed. We got our Samsung at the local store in Monsey last year after much research (they're actually a pretty major dealer) and the pricing came out better and they know the products much better as well.

I'm in Chicago, no Jewish stores here that do major appliances that I know of - what's the delivery policy for stores in NY area?

Well, anyone looking to move to Chicago do I have a business idea for you! :)

All of our communities out here have a heimishe appliance dealer(s). Interesting that Chicago is bereft.

What do you think of the Kenmore posted?

Gotcha. We HAD to have the Shabbos mode and we've never used it, lol.

Sometimes one of the stores can offer a better warranty or some type of additional discount(s) (we bought a Sebo vacuum cleaner from a dealer that offered a warranty twice as long as well as a discount hardly ever offered).
