Safe Deposit Boxes
« on: July 08, 2011, 01:33:09 PM »
I have been thinking of getting a safe deposit box.  I went into my local chase today in manhattan and they said if I keep 15,000 in my accounts then I can get a free 3 by 5 box.

Does anyone know which other local New York banks also offer free boxes, but maybe with lesser balance requirements?

thanks

I don't think such a safe deposit box is too expensive, might not be worth it to try to get as a freebie.

There's a chase package that I have, you get a business and personal checking account + a safe deposit box I think its $18 a month and its free if you use the business debit card 5 times a month(.06 by the gas pump 5 times a month is very easy)

Commerce is now owned by (as has been re-branded to) TD Bank, do you know for sure if they still offer this? From their site it seems they offer a discount for 60+
