My brother and his wife would like to go to St Thomas for a 5 day stay.

8/14 - 8/19.

Flying from NY area.

They need help/tips/ideas with flights and car rental. They already found a villa.

Any help and tips would be nice. Itinerary help a plus

Regarding cars, they're both under 25. Funding is via Credit card.

where did they find a villa?

they can go to st john for a day short 20 min ferry ride

you dont need to rent a car in st thomas. they have these little buses\trucks that drive around the island and pick up people along the way and drop u off where ever u need to go
They also drive on the wrong side of the road so keep that in mind

Trip changed. St Thomas cancelled.

After checking on the car rental, and then realizing that they drive on the other side, they've decided to look elsewhere.

If that's the reason, they should reconsider. It takes about five minutes of driving slowly to get used to it.

A little more than 5 minutes, but it's not such a big deal.

I'm not arguing with you guys. All valid points.

I'll update if they change their minds (again).

All in all, I think they were consuming their budget faster then expected before even getting there!

How much/what is there to do is ST? How many days is recommended to stay there?

St. Thomas is a beautiful, scenic and serene island with some of the nicest beaches!!! They even have an old shul (not in use) Highly recommended for a relaxing vacation. I was there on a cruise and only spent one day there but I would like to go back there one day!

If you just want to chill MON then this is the perfect spot, Went there was there for 4 days and had an amazing time Just going to beach, pool jetski. Make sure you check out Happy hour at some of the local bars, drinks were like a buck or 2 a piece and they were 2 4 1. Needless to say if you are looking to chill, between the cheap drinks and the" JAMAICAN" influences you should be set.

So I'll have one day available there. This Wednesday iyh. Though I'll be there from tomorrow but will be busy until Wednesday.
Anything specific or "can't miss" things?

I did some nice scuba diving there (actually I think my very first time was there)

What's a can't miss though is Rabbi Federman, the man's awesome and his kids are the cutest (although if I understand correctly you will prob be spending RH by him)
