As far as the whole epidural/non-epidural argument:
Like Dan I hear both sides. What annoys me are the husbands that don't let their wives get one. If you ever see one of those in the hospital do humanity a favor and break his femur. Oh and of course don't let him near the drugs.
The second thing that confuses me is the anti-epidural pro-homebirth people. If you are telling me that you want to do natural because of the risks, the chances of needing a last second emergency c-section are probably more than 100 times that of any serious effect of the epidural. And my wife's anesthesiologist was drunk when he gave it to her.
