Author Topic: Best way to avoid yq on Emirates with Jal miles (Read 13175 times)

So far the combinations I've been able to find departing from New Zealand, Australia, sri lanka, and the MALDIVES do not have yq via ita.matrix. Also starting in the Maldives Roundtrip is no yq!

In addition it's been reported cheap or no yq from Hong Kong and Tokyo via Dubai to the US.

yes well JAL is only a bargain on RTs so starting out in MLE is not really an option

Ya ik, so you can always start in mle and take the way back just to Dubai and book a flight from there.

I wish I knew if you can do open jaw or multi city with jal.

According to tpg (no raya) and travel is free, all it says in a one way is: no transit via point or country of origin.

We have reviewed your letter concerning redemption of Starwood points through JAL Mileage Bank to book award travel on Emirates.

Upon becoming aware last November that Emirates is applying a fuel surcharge to award travel, JAL promptly updated the Emirates fee information on its website and otherwise began advising our JAL Mileage Bank members of the surcharge. +1. I don't believe this process can be done without human eyes seeing it. Once that happens, I'd put the chances as slim to none on them missing it. Hope I'm wrong here

This was for a reservation where the points were transferred to JAL before they imposed the YQ but the ticket was booked and flown after the yq was imposed.

I guess the DoT still scares the foreign airlines
