Just got a letter in the mail: Spend $750 each month Nov-Jan, receive 15K bonus miles. I'm not sure if its targeted or not, but it can't hurt to SM for a match.

$750/mo AP = 17,250 US Airways miles, on top of the 40K bonus. Not bad.

I received it as well, and my experience is that they won't match it if you're not targeted.

It appears that you have a better chance of being targeted if you have a few hundred $$ of spend on your card. Hence, I put on around $400 a few months back, and viola.

I spent 25 cents on this card. The 25 cents were even refunded. So I respectfully disagree with your theory.

For the 15000 point promo it says in the t&c that person to person money transfers are not valid, does AP charges come up on the statement as a person to person payment?

Although I haven't checked if it's on card #1 or card #2.
And this time it came via email, not snail mail.
