Wonder what the super premium card might be. If it's like the new Hilton card, but in a SPG version, it might replace the biz plat in my wallet, especially since the redemption rate is going down to 35% soon for me.

If they offer multiple SPG per $1 that would be huge.

It might just be a Marriott card, though...

Doesn't seem like it, I thought they were saying that amex is going to launch a premium SPG card.

I'm not sure that explicitly says that there will be new SPG cards. It could just refer to the Marriott cards.

I understood that, too. Just saying that it's not 100% clear yet.

I guess you don’t read DDMS

He clearly writes:
AMEX emailed me and let me know that as part of their new agreement, they will be offering a “new consumer premium Card” and “enhanced small business Card” next year.

And:
I’m excited to see what kind of premium Marriott/Starwood card that AMEX will be able to pull off. Best of all, as a new product, everyone will be eligible for the signup bonus!

"A new" implies one new personal card.

"Enhanced small business card" also implies one card.

No plural used anywhere in that statement.

Based on this language, if they offered 2 new SPG cards, there would be no new Marriott cards. I assume that they at least plan on introducing a Marriott personal card. The enhanced business card could be Marriott or SPG.

As I said, the language does not explicitly say that there will be new SPG cards.

Any point in applying for one card over the other right now?

Is it a good time to apply for Marriott Biz? I guess it will go away soon.

Was wondering is it going to go away?
or is it going to turn into this new card?

Same thing, I just think about Citi Hilton which went away in one day and Amex took over everything 8 months later.
